Facilities To Be Proud Of
Over the past few years, a great deal of hard work has gone into planning and creating our purpose built,
eco-friendly building at Nassington playing field.  It now provides a relaxed, and stimulating environment for the children both inside and out.

Soft Play Area

Our safe, secure outdoor play area features an all-weather surface ensuring that children can enjoy fresh air and exercise whatever the weather. The built in play boxes include a sandpit, a planting area and two themed boxes which we use to fill with props and toys that complement our activities each term. A water tray, a play house and outdoor chalkboards mean there’s always plenty to do outside.

Creative Corner

Here’s where we get messy! Containing play dough, paints, glues, papers, recycling and other creative resources this is where children are encouraged to explore their own creativity as well as developing ideas set by the staff. Child-height counters gives children supervised access to resources while a child-height sink means we can all get cleaned up afterwards!

Quiet Corner

Down time is as important as play time and this is where children come when they’d like a bit of peace and quiet. A wide variety of books, audio CDs and soft cushions and rugs mean it’s always a comfortable and welcoming place to be.

IT Facilities

Children are encouraged to take turns on the preschool laptops where they can explore early learning games and get used to using a keyboard and mouse.

Snack Area & Kitchen

We operate a rolling snack area where children are encouraged to pour their own water or milk and come for something to eat when they’re hungry. Good manners and social skills are developed as children sit together to eat.

Role Play Corner

A themed role-play corner encourages children to explore experiences they may have had outside the pre-school, develop their imagination and covers all six of OFSTED’s Early Years areas of learning through play. Problem solving, communication, understanding of the world, social and emotional skills, physical development and creative development are all addressed as children imagine and play.

'Small World' Area

Children love miniature representations of the world around them and there’s always a different imaginary world here. Miniature farms, railways and dolls houses allow children to play with different scenarios while developing social skills, fine motor skills and their knowledge and understanding of the world.

Child Friendly Toilets

Purpose-built low level WCs and sinks encourage childrens’ independence and good hygiene.
